Verso la mente

Verso la mente

Prima che dormissero le mirabelle
e la vera carta diventasse cieca
indietreggiò sentendosi
colpita e non riconobbe
il cane nell'acqua...
era suo padre...
corse via dalla cucina
fece un cenno
dove capitò il cielo
stracciando la carta carbone
lavando i bicchieri con la cenere
anatre come patriarchi
sorvegliando che tutto sia in ordine
tirò fuori il costume da bagno
e lo mostrò alla notte
bilance rincorrono bilance
la benda odora forte di
zuppa di pesce
e il grembiule è rinchiuso nella testa:
attese sul platano che
un lungo pensiero finisse
poi si affacciò alla finestra
e mentre l'erba aspettava
erano passati nove giorni
di giugno.

Towards the Mind

Before the plums slept
and the real paper went blind
she retreated, feeling
hit and not recognising
the dog in the water...
it was her father...
she ran out of the kitchen
made a gesture
where the sky happened to be
tearing up the carbon paper
washing the glasses with ashes
ducks like patriarchs
checking to see all is in order
she pulled out her bathing suit
and showed it to the night
scales run after scales
the bandage smells strongly
of chowder
and the apron stays locked up in her head
she waited in an elm tree for
a long thought to end
then she went to the window
and while the grass waited
nine days of June had passed.
