The other day I came across one the most amazing pop-up books I have ever seen, I had to buy it. Tomie dePaola was one of my favourite story-book writers and illustrators when I was little; I had forgotten that he was American-Italian until I found Brava Strega Nona! In this book he illustrates the most important values of life such as famiglia, mangia, amici, pazienza, celebrazione, and of course, amore, with elaborate and colourful pop-ups. Such a beautiful book.
